I've begun to wonder...

I let the day go by
I always say goodbye
I watch the stars from my windowsill
The whole world is moving and I'm just standing still

Lyrics by The Weepies. Characters from a new project with the brilliant Andrew Rostan. That's right--I'm still drawing Savannah even after I've moved :)

Alone together

Do you like things the way they seem?
Or are you looking behind the scenes?
Well if you gotta know
What it takes to make it so
Just believe

Lyrics by Dr. Dog! Characters are from a new project with the fantastic Andrew Rostan! Funtimes in Forsyth Park!

Set fire to the rain

And I threw us into the flames
When I felt something die
'Cause I knew that that was the last time
The last time...

Lyrics by Adele, who is amazing. Character is from my new project with the brilliant Andrew Rostan. She's just managed to escape the end of the world--well, almost...

If ever there's a reason...

If ever there's a need to watch the afternoon just roll into the evening sky
Find comfort in the finer things that keep you close
That keep you safe within this room
When it comes down to me
And I grit my teeth
And I start to stall
When it comes down to me

Lyrics are by Derby! Characters from a new project with the wonderful Andrew Rostan!

Because you're an artist

During a trip home, I was interviewed by Evansville Living magazine. It still surprises me how little the world knows about comics and graphic novels, so any effort to get the word out is wonderful and much appreciated by artists like me.

The whole article can be read here.

Anywho, the interview is part of a normal segment they do in each magazine called 15 Minutes. Normally they take pictures of their interviewees, but they asked me to draw up a self-portrait that would help to visually explain what I do. I was happy to oblige :)

Book of Days part one

Another project in progress, this one a collaboration with Andrew Rostan, writer of An Elegy for Amelia Johnson. Andrew is a wonderfully creative and talented individual and I'm really excited to be working with him on this project from the beginning. We're still knee-deep in the writing process, but I put this illustration together for our pitch packet.

TransPacific part two

The first four pages of a collaborative project with the boyfriend. The working title is TransPacific. The work in progress is a thrilling sci-fi adventure. The work has been fun thus far--keep an eye out for updates on the project!
